Ein Karem Sketch Retreat

I’m excited to invite you to a three-day sketching retreat in Ein Karem, one of Jerusalem’s most beautiful and inspiring neighborhoods. We’ll spend a long weekend sketching on location, learning to simplify what we see, and finding quick, effective ways to tell a story through our drawings.

This retreat is for anyone who enjoys drawing outdoors — from complete beginners to more experienced sketchers. I’ll share simple techniques that help you build confidence, choose your focus, and make expressive sketches without overthinking.

What we’ll do

• Thursday evening: arrive, settle in, and start with warm-up sketches and tips for getting into the flow.
  
  

• Friday: full day of outdoor sketching — learning to simplify buildings, add figures, and use color to create atmosphere.
  
  

• Saturday: short morning session and group review — we’ll look at how to finish sketches, add small details, and discuss next steps.

Practical info

• Price: 2,700 ₪ (includes two nights in a shared double room, meals from Thursday dinner to Saturday, and all workshops)
  
  

• Single room supplement: 500 ₪
  
  

• Accompanying partner: 1,700 ₪ (includes all meals and activities except art sessions)
  
  

This retreat follows our previous one in February — “Light in the Alley” — which turned out to be a really fun and successful experience. The group energy and results were amazing, and I can’t wait to do it again.
